Which One?

I’m curious what happens when you just be yourself? Accept who you are and just live your life. I surely don’t try to fit a mold. I rarely ever fit into a mold, I’ve always been the one that was outspoken. A challenger if you will. I figure why stop now? I will help, I will share, I will move mountains to do for others. I will stand up for people. I will get in the front lines for others. But I will always be ME. You will always have honesty and love from me.

I won’t try to be anyone else but me. I won’t tell you stories so you like me more, I won’t offer my help to like me more, I do these things because I choose to. I was given a chance to be a catalyst. I intend to fulfill it every chance I get. I accept the broken, the sad, the less fortunate, because I have been there. I don’t look for the ones that think like me or look like me, that would be a boring life. I believe this is how I stay open minded and learn. They say, “If you are the smartest person in the room, you’re in the wrong room.” I push myself out and learn, be open, listen and study those around you. We learn from each other if we choose to.

Always push yourself to learn from others, listen, and take note. You can learn a lot from the great ones, and you can learn a lot more from the “not so clever” ones. My brother once shared what his pastor told him, “You have the opportunity every day in every conversation to be a stepping stone, or a stumbling block.” Which one do you want to be?
